Screenshot Savvy: Mastering Screen Captures Across Devices

Tech Tip Tuesday: Screenshots are a quick and effective way of capturing information directly from your device’s screen, be it a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Here’s how to take screenshots across various devices:

  • On Windows: Press ‘PrtScn’ to capture the entire screen. Use ‘Windows Key + Shift + S’ to select an area to capture. The screenshot will be saved to your clipboard or the Screenshots folder.
  • On Mac: Press ‘Command + Shift + 3’ to capture the entire screen, or ‘Command + Shift + 4’ to select an area. Screenshots are saved to your desktop.
  • On iPhone/iPad: Press the ‘Side Button’ + ‘Volume Up’ (Face ID models) or ‘Home’ + ‘Power’ (Touch ID models) and find the screenshot in Photos.
  • On Android: Press the ‘Power’ + ‘Volume Down’ buttons simultaneously. Screenshots are typically saved in the Gallery or Photos app.
